MY SPECIALTIES
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
I provide individual therapy to Colorado residents via telehealth ages 11+ and in-office at 5353 W. Dartmouth Ave. Suite 305, Denver, CO 80227. A 50-55 minute session is $120 out-of-pocket. I am currently contracted with Higher Sights Counseling to be able to take most major insurances, including Medicaid. If you don't have insurance and need a reduced rate, you can find my profile on Open Path Collective and I can offer a reduced rate of $70/50-55 minute session. For Open Path Collective clients, you will have to register with Open Path for a one time fee of $65 to receive my reduced rate. If you have any questions about my services, please reach out! Note: I am only able to provide telehealth services to Open Path clients.
ART THERAPY
I utilize art making to help clients identify, process, and express emotions, to aid in emotional regulation, to help process trauma, and more! The best part about art therapy is that you don't have to be an artist or have any prior art experience to benefit from the power of creation! (If art therapy isn't your thing, I work with other modalities as well.) I want my clients to feel like they're in control of their therapy as well, so we can work together to explore what type of therapy interventions may be best for you!
STRESS AND TRAUMA
I help clients learn to manage stress and/or trauma responses (including those with PTSD), process traumatic events, and learn how to create a safe environment for themselves through a variety of modalities depending on the client's needs and preferences. My top modalities in working with trauma and stress, however, are art therapy and trauma-informed mindfulness-based interventions.
SELF-HARM
Through the harm reduction model, I strive to help my clients reduce and eventually stop self-harming behaviors by learning new coping mechanisms and grounding techniques. I come from a non-judgmental lens and am open to difficult conversations regarding self-harm to help empower the client and reduce the power self-harm may have over a client.
NEURODIVERGENCE
I provide services to help folx with OCD, ADHD, and Autism better navigate the world and understand how their brain works. Since neurodivergence makes us function a little different, it can be helpful to have someone who can help navigate some of the unique challenges (but also strengths!) neurodivergence may bring!
LGBTQIA+
As a queer person myself, I have an understanding of what difficulties may arise from having marginalized identities. I try my best to take into account the intersectionality of LGBTQIA+ identities with other social locations (such as race, religion, socioeconomic status, etc.) that may complicate how we interact with others or how others interact with us. I hope to help clients better navigate who they are and figure out how they'd like to show up in the world!
OTHER EXPERIENCE
While this highlights my top specialities, I also work with other issues and diagnoses as well. I have experience working with those struggling with attachment-based issues, navigating social or familial relationships and difficulties, managing symptoms of anxiety and/or depression, navigating mild suicidal ideation, struggles with parenting, and those working on building self-esteem. Unfortunately, I am not able to take clients with severe active suicidal ideation, substance use disorders, or severe eating disorders. If you're unsure if I'll be a good fit, let's schedule a time to chat!
